I had the great honor of being able to watch the West Coast Cosplay Championships this year at Emerald City ComicCon. The cosplays were all beautifully made - as one would expect from such a top-notch competition - and I am extremely pleased by how the event was put on. So much respect was given to these cosplayers who have sacrificed blood, sweat, tears, and time to make fictional icons come to life. The winner of the competition had worked on his armor for three years, and it was stunning. I couldn't have been happier with the results of the judging. The judges were great, including Weta Workshop technician Mark Dewes, Punished Props, and professional cosplayer Laura Lunardi.
